André Backes has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2003), a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2006) and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2010). He is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia and reviewer of several journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. He has experience in Computer Science, with emphasis on Methodology and Computer Techniques, and mainly works on the following topics: Deterministic Walk, Complexity Analysis, Fractal Dimension, Complex Networks, Shape and Texture Analysis.
